Obama visits Japan...
Obama's first state visit to Japan...
Obama's first state visit to Japan since becoming president was a short one 24 hours to be precise, after landing at Haneda airport on air force one followed by a meeting with Japan's newly elected Prime Minister Hatoyama and then dinner with the Emperor.
Obama then was invited to give a speech at a closed location to a selected audience of mostly media moguls and celebs and other known people that have made it onto the world wide stage. I understand that Obama was under an extremely tight schedule, but I felt that the Japanese could have done more by way of allowing Obama to address not just the select and privileged few, but to a much wider audience.
Kind of like the state visit that he made to Germany even before he became president, where he addressed thousands and not just your privileged few. How many of us out there even knew the location of where Obama had held his speech? Don't you think that ordinary people like you and I had the right to see and also hear Obama's speech no matter how brief his speech was?
It’s not every day that an historical figure like Obama just literally land on your door step. I felt that more could have and should of being done, it's not that the authorities didn't have the time they had ample of time to organize an open air venue so the masses could be in the presence of such a historical icon of our time.
I also understand the security issues involved when a head of state arrives in a country, but Obama's visit thou short was one for the history books and we the ordinary everyday people didn't get the opportunity to bask in Obama's radiance, and who knows when we'll ever get another opportunity to see Obama.
What were your initial thoughts on Obama's visit to Japan?
Like me were you peeved that only the media moguls and celebs and other known people got to see and hear Obama's speech?
As always I'd like to hear your point of view on the subject of Obama's visit to Japan, and remember your opinion does matter....

Why are we waiting?
Why are we waiting?
Here we go again, once more another great game title is on general release in the west while gamers here in Japan are left counting the days when we'll be able to get our hands on you guessed it Infinity Ward Call of duty Modern warfare 2. Those of you that were fortunate and I say fortunate to visited this years Tokyo Game Show were privy to actual game footage of Call of duty modern warfare 2, but there was no indication or any announcement when Infinity Ward Call of duty modern warfare 2 will touch down here in Japan, most probably at years end or sometime in the new year who knows. But it's the same rigmarole games produced in the west either take forever and a year to get released in Japan or not at all. So like many of you out there I'll be importing modern warfare 2 like a lot of games that I own like Star wars force unleashed, Endwar, Storm Rising & Batman Arkham Asylum and blah, blah, blah. Like me if you're in the same dilemma let me hear your comments on the subject, your point of view does matter.
Don't be left behind while everybody else is having all the fun online, if want to be up there with the rest check out http://www.play-aisa.com/ for all the big game titles.

Your initial thought on Sony's PSP-Go?
What's your thought on the Sony Playstation PSP-Go?
By D.M.O.68
With the latest release of Sony's PSP-Go already on sale; how many of you out there bought one and what's your general thought about the PSP-Go, does the PSP-Go live up to the hype or not? Is the PSP-Go value for money? What difficulties if any have you had with the PSP-Go? As you know or may not know owners of the earlier PSP model were concerned that they wouldn't be able play UMD games that they had purchased on the PSP-Go, and does Sony's PSP-Go allow for UMD's to be unloaded to there new hand held hand set? What other concerns do you have regarding the PSP-Go? Like the PSP which went through various version upgrades will the PSP-Go go through the same ordeal and what sort of upgrades can consumer of Sony's latest portable handset expect? Finally Sony's latest portable handset which has a built in HD specifically for downloading and uploading software content from the internet or PSN, concerns regarding piracy of software will the piracy of software become a problem as it far easier to obtain pirate software where as piracy of UMD's were unheard of; do you think it'll become a major issue for Sony's latest portable handset?
If you'd like to have your say please feel free to do so, what you say matters...

The 41st Tokyo Motor Show 2009
The 41st Tokyo Motor Show 2009
BY D.M.O.68
This year’s Tokyo motor show celebrated its 41st anniversary and we were there to join in the celebrations. Before entering the venue we were greeted with welcoming smiles from security and ushers alike, the last time I went to the Tokyo motor show I wasn’t prepared for the crowds that had visited the Tokyo conference centre and was quite over whelmed.
But this year the Tokyo motor show which was extended over a 2 week period which made for and this is my opinion for a much better Motor Show. Even thou crowds were moderate the event was still drawing in the crowds even after we had left about 16:00 PM, the TMS 2009 had something for everybody this year from passenger cars SUV’s motor cycles and scooters despite the fact that there’s a worldwide recession as well as the spread of the H1N1 flu the crowds still kept on coming.
The vehicles on display at the exhibition were mostly domestic models with some of the big name in the Japanese motor industries like Nissan, Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Mitsubishi and Mazda and those that I forgot to mention showed off what they had on offer.
And with that in mind only a handful of foreign motor car manufactures made an appearance at the 41st TMS 2009 like Germany's BMW and UK’s Lotus as for the Americans big three Ford, GM and Chrysler and Italy’s Ferrari and Lamborghini or Germany's Porsche they were all a no show at this year’s Tokyo Motor show.
And with everybody talking about cleaner Eco friendly vehicles and fuel efficient motor I was impressed with just some of the vehicle that were on display, as I’m more of a Motor cycle man myself; I really fancied the Can-am Spyder Roadster RS liking it a lot.
As for motor vehicles the Lotus stealth with its mat black finish did it for me everything about that car reminded me of the bat mobile for some strange reason but it had an awe about it that was like “you know you love me” and I did. But the question on my lips were do you have a hybrid version? All in all the 41st Tokyo motor show 2009 was a big hit and if you ever get the chance I recommend going…
